Halloween Season Is Here!

Happy Halloween

The fall is upon us and with the ending of September, begins the Halloween Season! Days are cooler and stores are stocking up on your favorite ghost and ghouls costumes, as well as candy and treats. Halloween in America has become a major money making business. Americans spend anywhere from 2.5 to 6 billion each year on costumes, candy and decorations for Halloween. Also Halloween is celebrated in over 100 countries around the globe.

Halloween Haunted Attractions

In addition to the trick-or-treating, haunted houses become a major attraction this time a year. It is estimated there are over 1,200 haunted houses open each year. That does not include charity events, costume parties and amusement park Halloween attractions. Also there are quite a few located in Michigan alone. Our friends at Detroit Metro Malls has a great listing of Michigan Haunted Houses to help you plan your spooky trip!

The Hush Haunted attraction located right here in Westland is always a fan favorite. Voted as one of the best in Metro Detroit by WDIV Channel 4.  Another great Michigan haunted house is the Erebus. The Erebus is a four story haunted house located in Pontiac.  It received the record for being the longest walk through haunted attraction in 2005 and has gained national recognition.
